About Me
About me. I have been surfing since age 6. I have been a competitive surfer since age 12. I competed in the NSSA ( National Scholastic Surfing Association ) from 1994-2000. I competed in the NSSA National Championships at Lower Trestles from 1996-2000. I started competing at the professional level in 2000. I have competed in WQS (World Qualifying Series) events on the ASP ( Association of Surfing Professionals), now known as the WSL (World Surf League), from 2000 to present. I have surfed in, and will surf in several WQS events this year, I also surf in the regional Pro-Ams every summer. I've traveled and surfed all over the world, and surfed in every kind of ocean condition imaginable. I have taught surfing lessons ever since I was 15 years old. I am CPR certified and Lifeguard Certified by the American Red Cross. I also hold a Level 2 Certification from the Big Wave Risk Assessment Group ( brwag.org)
